For our 5-year-old client, this was a daily reality. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the client's grandmother sought out assistance to address these challenges and prevent further escalation.
Discovering Support with Victor
Enter Victor’s Wraparound Services, a helping hand to families navigating behavioral health challenges. The client was assigned to a dedicated Wraparound team consisting of a Child and Family Specialist, Parent Partner, Facilitator, and Clinician. Together, they formed an unwavering support network, united in their mission to understand the family's individual circumstances and craft tailored interventions to promote growth and healing.
Taking Positive Steps Forward
The journey began with building trust and rapport between the client and the Wraparound team. The Child and Family Specialist played a pivotal role, guiding the client in developing healthy boundaries and effective communication skills. Through playful activities and meaningful conversations, the client learned to express emotions with words rather than resorting to aggression.
Simultaneously, the Parent Partner provided invaluable support to the caregiver, ensuring access to essential resources such as rental assistance and a bed frame for the child. These seemingly small gestures fostered a sense of security and stability within the family, laying the groundwork for progress.
As the journey unfolded, the Facilitator arranged goal-setting sessions, celebrating each milestone achieved along the way. From learning to regulate emotions to practicing positive coping mechanisms, every step forward was a testament to the client's resilience and determination.
The Clinician conducted individual sessions with the family and the client to address specific behavioral concerns and provide the necessary support.
